Amy Smart has been a model, actress and former American. Amy Smart was born and raised in California, USA. Amy Smart began her modeling career in Italy. Her acting career began in the year 1996, when she appeared in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It took some time for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller character. It was difficult for her to transition from modeling to acting since models were not believed to be actors and were mostly granted smaller, insignificant roles. Amy was never discouraged. Her first roles were in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Then she stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for her efforts throughout the previous decade. She went on doing some important films, including the Crank series starring Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was an adored recurring character.
